High School ranks in the top 1% of public schools in the nation academically.
But unfortunately, California ranks 50th in per-student funding.

The Shark Fund.
We founded The Shark Fund in 2003 as a parent-run, non-profit organization
to raise these desperately needed funds in support of education,the arts,
PTSA,
athletics and other extracurricular activites at Malibu High School.

The SHARK FUND'S I-N-S-A-N-E Back to School iPad Raffle
Ahoy Fellow MHS Parents, Students, Faculty & Friends,
We here at the Shark Fund hope you had a dizzyingly dynamite Summer and are looking forward to leaving those lazy, sun-filled days behind and getting your educational groove on!
To up the excitement quotient even higher, The Shark Fund is going to be raffling off TWO iPads to lucky contributors in the coming weeks! Yes -- iPads! All you need to do is make a donation SOON and you will automatically be entered in the raffle. It's like falling off a log without the pain or inflammation. So how do you get in on the action?
1. Send it by Mail: The Shark Fund, P.O. Box 2050, Malibu 90265.
2. Click on the Donate Button at the top of the page.
3. Visit the Bodacious Shark Fund Booth at Back to School Night.
The raffle will take place right after Back to School Night so don't dilly dally and let Little Johnie's obnoxious Auntie steal one of these beauties out from under your nose. We need your support now.
While we welcome any level of giving and simply participating is what's important, we ask that you consider a $ 1,500 donation per child. We recognize this is a steep request, but with further state funding cuts looming and our desire to not cut valuable programs or services, it's a realistic figure. You may want to bring your checkbook and spirit of adventure to Get Your Stuff Day and meet one of our many effervescent Board Members who can take you through everything we do and the variety of things your contributions support.
In case you are new to the school or did a bit too much drinking this Summer, the Shark Fund is the umbrella fund-raising organization for Malibu High and Middle Schools. We support the fabulous work done by the PTSA, Arts Angels, Athletic Booster Club and many others as well as funding several essential programs here at the school NOT covered by state budgets. There is no doubt your children will be directly impacted every day by the generous contributions made to The Shark Fund. Now don't you want to be part of something great?
And a special shout out to everyone who gave to the Save Our Schools (S.O.S.) Campaign over the Summer! We salute you! Well done!
